Isohyetal Patterns over South India in relation to the locations of various Storms/depressions of the Bay striking east peninsular coast during Post monsoon season

In this paper, a study has been made of the isohyetal patterns over South India during post-monsoon season in relation to position and movement Bay storms/depressions. The above disturbances have classified into three categories, viz. , A, p C according their crossing coast south Cuddalore, between Cuddalore Ongole, Ongole Cahngapatnam respectively. positions various 2-degree square corresponding mean subsequent 24 hours are shown diagrammatically for all categories. These diagrams may be use forecasters issuing heavy rainfall warnings next association with monsoon season.
